2010-02-23 CogVis is participating in the fp7 project RHEA. The contract negotiation with the european commission has been concluded today.

CogVis is going to develop solutions for automatic event detection on mobile robots.

 


2010-02-15 Based on latest research findings CogVis has developed a novel method for person detection.

Mainly our software is used in outdoor surveillance applications. The person detector proved it's reliability even during the most severe outdoor conditions.

 


2010-02-01 CogVis wins a new development project funded by BMVIT.

networked miniSPOT will start on April 1st, 2010 and run for 2 years. The project will research new ways of transmitting images as well as methods for embedded computer vision.

 


2009-12-15 CogVis launches novel image search application for enhanced digital asset management.

Our latest product on the market is able to find duplicates and near duplicates in large image repositories.

 


2009-05-01 Several resarch projects started in recent month

CogVis coordinates and executes several large scale cooperative research projects funded by BMVIT as well as ZIT. Details can be found under Products on this website.

 


2008-10-01 CogVis at the forefront of application based video analysis

Presentation of the joint research results of "An Adaptive Multiple Model Approach for Fast Content-Based Skin Detection in On-Line Videos" at the 1st ACM International Workshop in Analysis and Retrieval of Events/Actions and Workflows in Video Streams (AREA 2008), Vancouver, Canada, October 31, 2008.

 2007-11-23 cogvis sponsors "PRIP Preis 2007"

Yearly an award "PRIP Preis 2007" for outstanding work in the field of pattern recognition and image processing is given away by the Technical University Vienna. This year is supported by cogvis GmbH, Siemens, Austria Research Centers, Österreichische Computer Gesellschaft, KiwiSecurity, Arsenal Research, Center Communication Systems, Smart Systems and Geldservice Austria.
